Do you have an appetite for change?

The world has arrived at a critical moment in the way our food system operates. Over the last 50 years, the rapid industrialisation of the world’s meat, fish and dairy production has meant that a remarkable 70% of the world’s animal protein today comes from intensive farms. The quantity of animal proteins consumed is at an unsustainable level, driving an extraordinary range of environmental and social problems. Not only is the status quo detrimental to people, the environment and the animals, but it fundamentally does not make business sense in the long-term.

FAIRR is an innovative peer network for institutional investors, launched by private equity pioneer Jeremy Coller. Our investor-led initiative is harnessing the power of capital markets to transform the global production of protein. We work with over 150 institutional investors to use their influence to help global livestock, fish and dairy companies change their behaviour, and build a more sustainable global food system.

Background

Established by the Jeremy Coller Foundation, a registered UK charity, the FAIRR Initiative is a collaborative institutional investor network that raises awareness of the financially material ESG risks in animal production as well as the opportunities associated with the shift towards alternative, sustainable proteins. We help the investor community integrate these risks and opportunities into their investment processes and engage with global food companies to protect and enhance value in global protein supply chains.

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic experienced business development professional to contribute a fast-growing investor network that is reshaping the views of the global protein supply chain and intensive livestock farming.  We are a small, driven and expanding team with very ambitious goals.
