BUSINESS BENCHMARK ON FARM ANIMAL WELFARE – 2016 REPORT

The Business Benchmark on Farm Animal Welfare is an independent programme designed to help drive higher farm animal welfare standards in the world’s leading food businesses. It is the first global measure of animal welfare standards in food companies and is designed for use by investors, companies, NGOs and other interested stakeholders.

The fifth Business Benchmark on Farm Animal Welfare (BBFAW) report was released in January, building on four previous benchmarks which all outline how global food companies are managing and reporting on farm animal welfare. It assesses the progress that has been made since the first Benchmark report was released in February 2013, analyses the factors that are driving performance and reflects on the obstacles to further progress on farm animal welfare.
