
Sophie joined the FAIRR initiative in May 2022. Her work focuses on Animal Pharmaceuticals, Sustainable Proteins, and Alternative Protein Technology.
She completed a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science and Public Health from the University of California, Santa Barbara. Prior to joining FAIRR, Sophie pursued her interest in sustainable food systems at the non-profit Food + Planet, where she helped empower healthcare professionals to accelerate progress towards a healthier, more resilient, and sustainable food system. She also conducted carbon research on behalf of The Mighty Kitchen, a food tech company using data modelling and materials chemistry to make plant-based poultry products and ingredients. She is passionate about encouraging protein diversification and working to restructure unsustainable food systems, particularly when connected to public health initiatives.
