Keenya joined FAIRR in 2023. She is a Senior Policy Officer, leading the policy team’s work on sustainable agricultural pathways, including the FAO-led Global Roadmap to 2050 for Food and Agriculture, as well as sustainable finance policy in the US, EU and Asia. As part of her work, she engages with governments, investors, regulators and industry bodies to co-develop policy solutions for building a more sustainable global food system.   

Working at FAIRR 

Keenya leads on several policy-related research and engagements for the wider FAIRR team, representing FAIRR in meeting and at local and international events and in collaborative engagements.  

Recent examples of Keenya’s work include speaking at side events for UN-level conferences, such as the Bonn Climate Change Conference and COP 28, contributing to FAIRR’s Protein Producer Index - Asia Trends Report on policy insights in Asia, and co-authoring a syndicated op-ed on alternative protein investment and policy developments in Japan. 

Experience 

Keenya’s previous experience includes working at Publicis Groupe in the global Corporate Social Responsibility team. After moving to London, she joined CDP where she focused on corporate engagement around deforestation, water security, and climate change with UK-based companies and TCFD alignment in China. Most recently, she was selected for the Bluebook Program at the European Commission where she provided structural support to France and its outermost regions on maritime affairs and fisheries. She has worked in the USA, EU and UK and is fluent in English and French.  

Keenya holds an MSc (Hons) from Université Sorbonne Paris Nord in Corporate Social Responsibility Management and a BSc (Hons) in Social Policy from Northwestern University.
