Keenya joined FAIRR in 2023. She is a Senior ESG Analyst in the Research & Engagements team focusing on the Antibiotics and Health workstreams. Her work on Animal Pharmaceutical and Restaurant Antibiotics engagements supports investor members and corporates to understand the risks associated with the overuse of antibiotics in intensive animal agriculture and promote a more sustainable animal protein supply chain.

Working at FAIRR

Keenya brings policy experience to the AMR team by exploring the health risks and policies associated with intensive agriculture and livestock production, including antimicrobial resistance and pandemics. Her work on the Restaurant Antibiotic engagement aims to improve company disclosure around AMR risk and ensure that the use of medically important antibiotics aligns with recommendations from the WHO. Keenya also supports the Investor Action on AMR initiative to leverage investor influence around antimicrobials through a One Health approach.

Experience

Keenya joined FAIRR as a Senior Policy Officer, leading the policy team’s work on sustainable agricultural pathways, including the FAO-led Global Roadmap to 2050 for Food and Agriculture, as well as work around sustainable finance and healthy diets.

Prior to FAIRR, Keenya worked at CDP within the corporate engagement team, as well as the European Commission at the Directorate-General for Maritime Affairs and Fisheries.

Keenya holds an MSc (Hons) from Université Sorbonne Paris Nord in Corporate Social Responsibility Management and a BSc (Hons) in Social Policy from Northwestern University. She also holds a CFA certificate in ESG Investing.
