
Matthew is a Policy Intern at the FAIRR Initiative. Joining the team in January 2023 his primary focus is around the Just Transition of animal agriculture while also considering safe and fair working conditions for those working in the global food supply chain. Matthew’s work also focuses on pandemic risks and emerging diseases caused by intensive animal agriculture.
Before joining FAIRR Matthew worked for The Asia Foundation based in their Bangkok office where his focus was on improving ASEAN regional cooperation using human trafficking and transnational crime as pillars for cooperation. Following the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, Matthew played a central role in the Foundation’s COVID-19 relief strategy co-authoring two publications that measured the impact of COVID-19 on Thai workers and MSMEs.
Matthew holds an MSc in Environmental Technology from Imperial College London and a BA in Public Administration from The Hague University of Applied Science.
