Emily joined the FAIRR Initiative in January 2024 as an ESG Analyst Intern, focusing on biodiversity within the Research & Engagements team.
Emily holds a bachelor’s degree in Sociology with minors in Communications and Social Entrepreneurship from McGill University. During her studies, she conducted research surrounding the social and environmental impacts of large scale fisheries on the coastal communities of eastern Canada, specifically focusing on their food systems, loss of biodiversity, and pollution.
Emily joined FAIRR with a financial services background which she developed through her work supporting Global Wealth and Asset Management at Manulife/John Hancock Financial, as well as during her time as a Knowledge Consultant at Sun Life Financial. She will be applying her learnings from these experiences as well as her passion for sustainability to her work in FAIRR's biodiversity workstreams and engagements.
