Millie Colegate joined FAIRR as Senior People & Culture Manager, supporting the organisation’s people strategy, employee experience, and organisational development initiatives. She works across talent, performance, culture, learning and development, and people operations, helping to build an inclusive, high-performing workplace that enables FAIRR’s mission-driven teams to thrive.

Working at FAIRR 

As Senior People & Culture Manager at FAIRR, Millie partners with leaders and employees across the organisation to strengthen people practices, support organisational growth, and enhance employee engagement. Her role spans strategic and operational HR, including talent development, performance management, employee relations, recruitment, wellbeing, and organisational effectiveness.

Millie has played a key role in developing FAIRR’s organisation-wide Career Progression Framework, helping to define clear development pathways, competencies, and expectations across departments and role levels. She also supports initiatives focused on employee experience, manager capability, learning and development, and embedding FAIRR’s values and culture throughout the organisation.

Working closely with teams across Research & Engagement, Policy, Outreach, Communications & Marketing, Finance, and Development, she helps ensure FAIRR’s people strategy supports collaboration, innovation, and long-term organisational impact. Her work contributes to creating an inclusive and purpose-driven environment that enables FAIRR’s teams to deliver impactful work on sustainable food systems and responsible investment.

Experience 

Millie is an experienced HR and People professional with a background spanning financial services, fintech, private equity-backed businesses, and SMEs. Prior to joining FAIRR, she held senior people leadership roles including Head of People & Culture, leading organisational development, change management, employee engagement, and people strategy initiatives.

She is currently completing a Master’s degree in Global Human Resource Management and holds CIPD qualifications across Levels 3, 5, and 7. Millie has particular expertise in organisational change, leadership development, performance frameworks, and building people-focused cultures within fast-paced and evolving organisations.
