Research & Engagements

Nabaraj joined FAIRR in June 2026 as an Analyst in the Research & Engagement team, focusing on the Just Transition workstream. He supports FAIRR's efforts to advance a just protein transition across global food system through research, stakeholder engagement, company analysis, and the development of investor-facing content and tools.

Working at FAIRR

As part of FAIRR's Social Risk team, Nabaraj contributes to the implementation of FAIRR's Just Transition strategy, helping build the evidence base for integrating social considerations into climate, nature and food system transitions. His work includes company and industry analysis, stakeholder engagement, thematic research, and the development of reports, presentations and engagement materials for investors, companies and policymakers.

Nabaraj works closely with colleagues across FAIRR's Research & Engagements, Policy, Investor Outreach, Communications and Data teams to support collaborative initiatives and strengthen FAIRR's external offering on just transition. His research explores the social dimensions of food system transformation, including workforce impacts, climate adaptation, protein diversification, food security and emerging technologies.

Experience

Prior to joining FAIRR, Nabaraj worked for Manatee Insight, where he analysed climate finance flows, adaptation strategies and just transition approaches across multiple countries, supporting projects for international development organisations and foundations. He also worked at Ipieca, the global oil and gas association for advancing environmental and social performance, where he contributed to sustainability reporting best practices, ESG reporting benchmarking exercises, SDG Roadmap and the integration of just transition considerations into sustainability reporting.

Nabaraj holds an MSc in Environmental Technology from Imperial College London and a BA (Hons.) Geography from the University of Delhi. He also has additional training in data analytics from the London School of Economics, specialising in Python, SQL, and data visualisation.
