Food Day at London Climate Action Week 2026 will place food firmly on the climate agenda, convening leaders and practitioners from across the food system for a dedicated day of dialogue, connection and collaboration.

Hosted by the Jeremy Coller Foundation at the Science Museum in London, Food Day brings together funders, policymakers, investors, businesses, civil society and researchers to explore food system resilience, risk and transformation. Through a curated programme of panels and conversations, the day aims to elevate the role of food within the climate agenda and catalyse action towards more resilient, sustainable food systems.

FAIRR presents “From Seafood to Cattle: How Better Traceability Drives Impact and Why it Matters for Beef and Leather”

Within the programme of the day, FAIRR will host an in-person session focused on why traceability is becoming a critical tool for investors managing exposure to food system risk. Drawing on insights from Coller FAIRR Seafood Index, the session will highlight how robust, digital traceability can help investors identify and mitigate financially material risks linked to deforestation, biodiversity loss, regulatory change and supply chain opacity, while uncovering opportunities linked to more resilient business models. The discussion will then turn to beef and leather - the single largest global drivers of deforestation - examining how interoperable traceability systems could enable better risk assessment, stronger engagement and progress towards deforestation‑free supply chains, informed by lessons already delivering measurable impact in the seafood sector.

Speakers:

  • Fernando Bellese, Senior Director, Beef and Leather Supply Chains, WWF-US

  • Lisa Rausch, Lead Scientist, Gibbs Lab

Huw Thomas, Executive Director, Global Dialogue on Seafood Traceability
