September 2025 marks one year since the Political Declaration on AMR was announced at the UNGA High-Level Meeting. This milestone presents a timely opportunity to reflect on the progress made toward realising the key asks of the IAAMR Investor Statement and addressing this systemic risk.

Ahead of the UN General Assembly’s High-Level Meeting on AMR in September 2024, investors representing over US$13 trillion in combined assets signed a statement urging global leaders and policymakers to take action to address antimicrobial resistance (AMR). One year on, this webinar will seek to:

• Share how the statement was socialised with policymakers

• Provide an update on public policy actions following the 2024 UN Political Declaration on AMR

• Assess the alignment between the 7 key asks of the investor statement with recent policy actions and the commitments of the political declaration
