Research & Engagements

Anyi joined FAIRR as an ESG Analyst Intern in September 2025 supporting investor engagement and research on sustainability issues across the global food system. Her work focuses on climate- and nature-related risks, combining analytical research with investor and stakeholder engagement to support FAIRR’s work towards a more sustainable and resilient food system.

Working at FAIRR

Anyi works on FAIRR’s China Agri-food Engagement, conducting company, market, and policy research and engaging with investors and companies on sustainability risks across the agri-food system. She contributes to the development of company assessment methodologies and frameworks, analysing corporate disclosures and sustainability data to assess performance, identify financially material risks, and inform engagement priorities.

As part of FAIRR’s China engagement trip, Anyi engaged with investors, companies, academics, policymakers, and other organisations to explore market developments and sustainability challenges in China’s agri-food system, bringing these perspectives into FAIRR’s research and engagement.

Beyond her core engagement work, Anyi contributes to cross-functional and thematic research across FAIRR, bringing a China-focused market and policy perspective alongside her work on broader climate- and nature-related issues. She collaborates across teams to connect research and engagement insights with FAIRR’s wider work on sustainable food systems and responsible investment.

Experience

Anyi completed her MSc in Economics and Policy of Energy and the Environment at UCL in September 2025, specialising in energy transition modelling and climate finance. Her previous experience includes ESG analysis at EY, sustainable urban mobility research at Tsinghua University, and consulting projects on carbon footprint reduction and sustainable investment.
