Team:
Research & Data

Patricia joined the FAIRR Initiative in February 2026 as Climate and Nature Economist (maternity cover). She leads the 2026 FAIRR’s water strategy on the financial materiality of water risks and opportunities in the agrifood sector and has oversight over the Climate Risk Tool workstream.

Working at FAIRR

Patricia leads the development and delivery of FAIRR’s water strategy, including its flagship research and tools such as the Water Risk Model and investor insights on water and feed-crop risks from physical climate risks. Her work focuses on translating complex environmental data into financially material insights for institutional investors, helping them assess and manage nature and climate-related risks across the protein value chain. In her cross-functional role, Patricia collaborates with FAIRR’s research and engagement, research and data, policy and investor outreach teams, while engaging with investors, corporates and policymakers to accelerate the transition towards more sustainable and resilient food systems.

Experience

Patricia has two decades of experience across the private sector, a start-up and civil society. As CDP’s former Global Head of Water, she led the organisation’s water strategy during a period of expansion, scaling disclosure to a record number of companies and strengthening engagement with financial institutions. She drove the production of thought-leadership content and led external engagement, fundraising and partnerships. She was research lead, in collaboration with Planet Tracker, on the investor-focused report ‘High and Dry – How Water Issues Are Stranding Assets (CDP, 2022)’, and lead author of ‘Financial Institutions are Valuing Water (CDP, 2023)’.

Patricia possesses earlier real-economy experience from over a decade at Veolia; where she dealt directly with large corporates and on major infrastructure projects for cities, addressing challenges related to water security, regulatory compliance and resilience.

Patricia holds a PhD in Chemistry from the University of New South Wales in Australia, and certificates on sustainable finance and public policy.
