Simi is FAIRR’s Climate Economist and leads the work on the Coller FAIRR Climate Risk Tool.
This is the first tool of its kind to link the profitability of the world’s largest meat producers to climate risks and impacts. Combining Intergovernmental Panel on Climate (IPCC) climate scenario analyses with the Task Force on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) framework, Simi evaluates the largest protein producers of the Americas, Europe, and Asia-Pacific to help investors evaluate ESG risks within their portfolios.
Simi brings years of experience working in climate change with diverse stakeholders across agriculture, land-use change, and energy sectors. Her passion is bridging the gap between scientific research and real-world action by creating tools and evidence-based knowledge products for decision-makers.
Before FAIRR, Simi worked with leading international organisations, including the United Nations, the International Monetary Fund, and the Government of India. She holds a Ph.D. in International Economics from Yokohama National University Japan.
