Sajeev joined FAIRR in 2023 as the Senior Technical Specialist across the Climate and Biodiversity workstreams. His work focuses on developing FAIRR’s services to support investor members and corporates to understand risks and capitalise on opportunities to meet climate and nature goals.

Sajeev provides technical expertise across the wider FAIRR team on strategic decision-making, developing assessment frameworks and methodologies for collaborative engagements, leading thematic research, representing FAIRR on climate and biodiversity working groups and disseminating FAIRR’s research at high-level events and conferences.
Recent examples of Sajeev’s work include FAIRR’s thematic report on regenerative agriculture, The Four Labours of Regenerative Agriculture, which assesses the potential and credibility of regenerative agriculture commitments of agri-food companies to deliver on climate, nature and social goals. Sajeev has also worked closely with the FAIRR biodiversity team on FAIRR’s Waste & Pollution Collaborative Investor Engagement. The findings of this engagement were released at the end of 2023: Animal Waste: A Neglected Opportunity for Biodiversity.
Sajeev is an experienced leader and agri-food sector specialist with over 15 years of experience working with investors, corporates, consulting firms, think tanks, and academic institutions. Prior organisations include South Pole, Carbon Trust, Rothamsted Research, and the International Council on Clean Transportation (ICCT). Sajeev has published peer-reviewed journal articles and reports, sits in various high-impact advisory and technical working groups, contributes to shaping corporate standards and policy regulations, and supports the world’s largest investors and agribusinesses on their climate and nature commitments.
Sajeev holds a PhD in Environmental Systems, an MSc in Agricultural Economics, and an MEng in Environmental Engineering. He is currently based in London but has lived and worked in Austria, Germany, United States, and India.
