FAIRR report launch, Oslo: Shallow returns? ESG risks and opportunities in aquaculture

Aquaculture is an incredibly important sector for the Norwegian economy, with a production value of nearly $8 billion in 2017. The sector also supplies 53% of global seafood supply.

The sector’s rapid growth has created significant opportunities for investors. As awareness of the link between global diets and sustainable development grows, we must think critically about aquaculture’s environmental impacts – and how the sector needs to evolve to meet these challenges.

In collaboration with KLP and Norsif, we are delighted to invite you to an informal lunch meeting to present our new report, Shallow returns? ESG risks and opportunities in aquaculture, and discussion on how global aquaculture companies are addressing these issues, based on early findings from the Coller FAIRR Protein Producer Index 2019.

Krister Hoaas, Manager Public Affairs, Leroy Seafood will also be speaking on the company’s recent efforts to address key sustainability challenges facing the industry.
