Laure joined FAIRR in 2023 and leads FAIRR’s Oceans programme, which consists of two investor engagements on Seafood Traceability, Sustainable Aquaculture, and the creation of FAIRR's new Seafood Index.
Working at FAIRR
Laure manages three projects as part of the Oceans programme. The Sustainable Aquaculture investor engagement, which ran from 2020 to 2024, focused on promoting more sustainable feed in salmon farming and thereby reducing companies’ exposure to wild catch, the biggest driver of marine biodiversity loss. She is also the lead author of this engagement’s final progress report, De-risking Salmon Feed: The Wild-Caught Fish Dilemma, published in May 2025.
Laure also manages the Seafood Traceability investor engagement, which aims to drive the adoption of robust traceability systems in global seafood supply chains and is the lead author in the Phase 1 progress report of this engagement, Tracing Risk and Opportunity: The Critical Need for Traceability in Today’s Seafood Supply Chains, published in December 2024. Laure also presented the results of Phase 1 of this engagement during a webinar in December 2024.
Finally, Laure manages the Coller FAIRR Seafood Index, a groundbreaking tool due to be released in 2026. This new benchmark will assess 20 of the largest wild-catch and aquaculture companies according to multiple environmental and social criteria.
As part of her thematic research on the blue economy, Laure has authored multiple insights pieces on salmon farming, seaweed farming and the negative impacts of insects used in aquaculture feed.
Experience
Laure has over five years of experience in sustainability and animal welfare, two areas that she is passionate about. She has worked for multiple animal welfare and conservation NGOs, such as the International Fund for Animal Welfare (IFAW) and World Animal Protection, where she managed the Animal Protection Index - a tool comparing 50 countries’ animal welfare legislations and policies. Prior to joining FAIRR, Laure was a sustainability consultant at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) for four years, where she supported a wide range of public and private sector clients on issues ranging from ESG materiality assessments to developing net zero strategies.
Laure holds a BA in International Relations from SciencesPo Paris, during which she completed an exchange programme at the London School of Economics (LSE) focusing on environmental science and governance. She then graduated with an MSc in Biodiversity Conservation and Management (Distinction) from the University of Oxford.
